Mouth Rinse Can Reduce Plaque and Prevent Gum Disease

A new report issued by General Dentistry* demonstrates that, in addition to regular tooth brushing and flossing, the use of a germ-killing mouth rinse can significantly reduce plaque and gingivitis the beginning stage of gum disease).

Mouth rinse can reach nearly 100 per cent of the mouth’s surfaces whereas brushing focuses mainly on the teeth, which make up only 25 per cent of the mouth. Since a lot of people admit to not brushing their teeth for the full 2 minutes recommended and only 2-10 per cent of people floss regularly - adding a germ killing mouth rinse twice a day is a beneficial way of attacking the germs that can cause significant oral health problems.

Our dentists recommend purchasing Colgate FluoriGard Alcohol Free Mouth Rinse which provides daily protection and does not contain alcohol. Rinse with 5-10ml for one minute, once a day, to safeguard against oral health issues.
